The Life ACLIMA project aims to make agricultural and horticultural businesses more climate resilient. Water demand is increasing, rainfall is decreasing and therefore solutions are needed for farmers.
The European project works on several pillars such as reducing drinking water in livestock, better infiltration of water in horticulture, better water collection in water basins, by collecting water from the roof…. Thus, a barn becomes a source of water instead of a place where a lot of water is needed. In the video, experts Joris De Nies of the Research Station for Vegetable Farming in Sint-Katelijne-Waver and Neil Van den Broeck of the Research Station for Poultry Farming in Geel take you through the story of Life ACLIMA.
